About Saidham Charitable Trust – Shirdi Sai Baba Temple, Ahmedabad

Saidham Charitable Trust, established on 2nd January 1996 in Ahmedabad, is dedicated to serving the underprivileged with the blessings of Shirdi Sai Baba. The trust actively provides medical assistance, educational support, and financial aid to orphans, the elderly, the disabled, and families in need. Inspired by Sai Baba’s teachings of selfless service, Saidham has become a beacon of hope for those seeking help.

The trust runs several initiatives, including free medical treatment and medicines for poor patients, distribution of educational materials such as books, uniforms, and hostel supplies, and financial aid for destitute families. Blood donation camps are regularly organized in collaboration with local blood banks. Additionally, meritorious students pursuing professional courses like medicine, engineering, and accountancy receive scholarships to support their education.

Saidham Charitable Trust has also played a crucial role in disaster relief efforts, notably aiding victims of the 2001 Gujarat earthquake by distributing essential supplies to affected families. Looking ahead, the trust envisions establishing a medical facility for the underprivileged and creating a shelter home for the destitute, ensuring a safe and dignified life for those in need.

History and Miracles of the Temple

Mr. Kulasekara Perumal, initially a non-devotee of Sai, experienced a miraculous transformation during an official trip to Shirdi. Guided by Sai in various forms—first as a stranger and later as a young boy—he was led through a series of divine interventions that culminated in his deep devotion to Sai. Upon his retirement in 1986, Mr. Perumal dedicated his life to serving Sai.

In a dream, Sai instructed Mr. Perumal to build a temple, promising him guidance every step of the way. Despite financial and logistical challenges, Sai ensured the temple’s construction with continuous divine support. The temple’s design, materials, and even its paint colors were believed to be guided by Sai’s will. The temple’s Kumbabishekam was completed on August 27, 2000.
