About Sri Shirdi Sathguru Sainath Charitable Trust & Temple

The History and Sacredness of Sathguru Sainath Charitable Trust & Temple

The journey began with a dream vision experienced by Mr. Vadivel, a devotee of Injambakkam Sai Temple. He envisioned building a Sai Temple in a place with a name ending in “Vakkam” or “Pakkam,” featuring a water stream in the front. Guided by this vision, Mr. Vadivel consulted the temple priest, who coincidentally shared a similar idea. Together, they approached fellow devotee Mr. Soundararajan to locate suitable land.

Their search led them to Renugambal Nagar, Kelambakkam, where Mr. Vadivel recognized the site from his dream. Although the water stream was not visible, a local elder confirmed its existence, now buried. This divine confirmation led them to acquire the land, and with the collective contributions of devotees, Bhoomi Pooja was performed on November 7, 2003.

In just one year, a temple with Baba’s sanctum, Sabha Mandapam, Panchamukha Ganapathy shrine, Gurusthan, and Dwarakamayee was constructed. Mahakumbabishegam was celebrated on November 7, 2004, with grandeur, including 54 Homa Gundams, Rudram and Chamakam chants, and Sai’s name echoing in devotion.

Recognizing Sai Baba as the “Annadhana Prabhu,” Annadhanam was offered during Kumbabishegam, benefiting devotees, villagers, and the needy. Baba’s miracles and blessings became evident from the temple’s inception, fulfilling devotees’ material and spiritual needs.

On November 7, 2009, a Lord Dattatreya statue was installed with a special Homam and Abhishekam. Since the temple’s establishment, Marathi Aarathis are performed daily—Kakad Aarathi (6:00 AM), Madhyan Aarathi (12:00 PM), Dhoop Aarathi (6:00 PM), and Shej Aarathi (8:20 PM). Thursdays see grand Annadhanam, with Prasadam distributed to all devotees. Rituals such as Thirukkuran recitation at 12:30 PM and Palki processions after evening Aarathi at 7:00 PM further enhance the spiritual atmosphere, drawing large crowds seeking Baba’s blessings.

This temple stands as a testament to Sai Baba’s divine guidance, uniting devotees through faith, miracles, and selfless service.

History and Miracles of the Temple

Mr. Kulasekara Perumal, initially a non-devotee of Sai, experienced a miraculous transformation during an official trip to Shirdi. Guided by Sai in various forms—first as a stranger and later as a young boy—he was led through a series of divine interventions that culminated in his deep devotion to Sai. Upon his retirement in 1986, Mr. Perumal dedicated his life to serving Sai.

In a dream, Sai instructed Mr. Perumal to build a temple, promising him guidance every step of the way. Despite financial and logistical challenges, Sai ensured the temple’s construction with continuous divine support. The temple’s design, materials, and even its paint colors were believed to be guided by Sai’s will. The temple’s Kumbabishekam was completed on August 27, 2000.
